Laser Marking

Femtosecond laser marking is a technology that uses ultrashort laser pulses to produce colored oxidation on metal surfaces, including titanium, stainless steel, copper, silver and gold. Different colors can be achieved by controlling the thickness of the oxide layers. The high speed and accuracy of the laser make it possible to selectively color metal parts and engrave tiny QR codes for security and tracing purposes in industries like jewelry, watchmaking, medical device and tool marking. The technology is also useful for anti-counterfeiting measures, as it allows marking even the smallest parts, and imprinting QR codes into transparent materials.
