Micro Cutting

Femtosecond laser cutting is well known as Cold Processing since the ultrashort pulses produce a minimal heat affected zone and allow precise cuts in various materials. This process has the advantage of allowing cuts to be made without leaving debris.

For example, squares with rounded corners in a polymer. The pitch between the holes is substantially smaller than the size of the hole. Spaces are thin and straight, ablation edges are clear, and there is minimal thermal influence.
