Femtika highlighted in Commercial Micro Manufacturing magazine

March 29, 2023

We are thrilled to be highlighted in Commercial Micro Manufacturing magazine. It features the Femtika Laser Nanofactory workstation, which is driven by high-performance nanopositioning systems from Aerotech, Inc., a well-known manufacturer of motion control and positioning systems. Femtika is able to reach the levels of precision necessary for the fabrication of highly precise micro- and nanostructures thanks to the systems. This could have fascinating implications for various industries, including biomedicine, electronics, and photonics.

Selective laser etching creates custom-fit watch movable parts

March 22, 2023

The Laser Nanofactory creates precise glass cuts and modifications. The video displays its ability to produce intricate patterns, resulting in functional watch parts. Selective laser etching allows for custom-fit and complex designs that are difficult to create traditionally. 3D femtosecond laser machining produces one-of-a-kind pieces quickly, making it valuable to watch industry designers and manufacturers.

The first test artifact for two-photon polymerization 2PP using direct laser writing was made employing NanoFactory system

March 2, 2023

Exciting news for two-photon polymerization (2PP) and manufacturing: considerable advancement has been reported for next-generation quality assurance tools. Sven Fritzsche and colleagues from the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung have introduced the first-ever test artifact for 2PP.

Similar to test artifacts already common in other additive manufacturing techniques, the proposed structural features can provide a general design guide for specific combinations of photoresist, laser power, and scanning speed. This unique manufacturing technology holds great promise for a burgeoning field!

The study was carried out with a Nanofactory workstation from FEMTIKA, equipped with a state-of-the-art C-Fiber 780 femtosecond fiber laser from Menlo Systems.

Femtosecond-laser direct writing 3D micro/nano-lithography using VIS-light oscillator

February 8, 2023

Team of Lithuanian scientists together with Mangirdas Malinauskas published an article on femtosecond laser two-photon polymerization 2PP lithography. The research was conducted using Laser Nanofactory by Femtika.

The experimental work is of high importance for fundamental understanding of laser enabled nanoscale 3D additive manufacturing and widens technology’s field of applications, such as micro-optics, nano-photonics, and biomedicine.
